TO: DSHRM Members and Non-Members:

FROM: Linda Smith, SHRM Interim President and Legislative Director

At the April 25, 2019 chapter board meeting, our directors voted to fill two board positions. The vacancy for DSHRM board Secretary was filled by Mary Weis, SHRM-SCP, CEBS. Mary serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at Aurora University and is a long-time member of both DSHRM and SHRM national. Additionally, the board voted to combine the certification director role and the vice-president of programs role into one position. Kelli Gadbois, SHRM-CP agreed to serve in this capacity and the board unanimously voted to have her serve as the new Vice-President Programs & Certification. Kelli currently works at Peerless Fence as the company's HR Manager.

Please join me in welcoming both Mary and Kelli to their new board positions.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Julie Blomsterberg, SPHR, SHRM-SCP.  Julie formerly served as the VP of Programs and recently stepped down from the role. Julie was responsible for arranging for our professional development program content in 2018 and 2019. I thank her for the work she did to identify relevant HR topics and to identify and secure an excellent roster of presenters. Julie plans to remain involved in the DSHRM chapter and we hope to see her active again on the board when her schedule allows. Thank you Julie!

We need you and your input!
