Like so many areas in HR recently, DEI has seen many changes and advances in a short period of time. (For example, when did it change from D&I to DEI and why?) Current events have propelled and expanded our conversations in the workplace around inclusion, equity, and belonging, and organizations are looking to their HR professionals to lead the way to authentic connection and team building, intentional inclusion and communication.
Monica Guillory, founder and CEO of Backpocket Wisdom, will be discussing the evolution of Diversity and Inclusion to Equity and Activism. She'll highlight the path to communicating across differences, teaching how to recognize common roadblocks and what tactics can be used to overcome them. You'll leave this discussion with a toolkit to teach your organization's leaders where this DEI journey has been, where we're headed, and why. And most importantly -- what that means and looks like for your employees and your organization.
Known for her candor, authenticity, and depth of experience, Monica will illuminate this ever-changing pathway to equity and belonging in your organization -- everything from where to start, where you may stumble, and how to get back up and keep going. This discussion is a must for keeping your team on the forefront of communication, equity, inclusion, and moving together forward.
