Do you ever wonder why it seems some people climb the career ladder so quickly and others get stalled along the way? While it’s true that how you go about owning your career growth is personal and may look different for everyone, being thoughtful in the way you approach and plan long-term career growth today is essential to success tomorrow.  Viveca will share how she has leveraged the P.I.E. model throughout her career with storytelling and examples that attendees can personalize and put into practice themselves. While all three of the P.I.E. elements are critical, being intentional on how you focus on them is equally important. Attendees will walk away with tangible insights to enable them to chart their own unique course to career growth, development and advancement.

Presentation By Viveca Fairbanks-Henderson

Viveca Fairbanks-Henderson joined Ecolab in October 2019 as Vice President, Global Engineering – Industrial. In her role, Viveca is leading the “Transforming Engineering for Growth” strategy that enables Engineering to be a competitive advantage in driving profitable growth and delivering differentiated value to customers.

Viveca joined Ecolab with 28 years of experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry at Kellogg’s and Procter & Gamble (P&G).  She started her career as a Power & Controls engineer in papermaking at P&G and progressed through regional and global roles of increasing responsibility working on brands like Charmin, Bounty, Puffs, Always and Pringles. After 21 years at P&G, Viveca joined Kellogg’s when the company acquired the iconic Pringles brand.  At Kellogg’s, Viveca held leadership roles across several organizations including Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D, and Sustainability.

Viveca is a proud Purdue Boilermaker where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.  She continues to have strong ties to Purdue by serving on the Engineering Advisory Council for the Dean of the Purdue Schools of Engineering. In addition, she established an endowment for Purdue’s Minority Engineering Program.

Viveca has a passion for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.  She is a member of Ecolab’s Black Leader Forum, is the Leadership Champion for the Naperville Chapter of HACER (Hispanics & Advocates Collaborating at Ecolab for Results) and is a member of the EcoEssence ERG Naperville Chapter Advisory Council. 

Viveca and her husband Darren Henderson reside in Naperville. They are the proud parents of a fifteen-year old son Bryce that they affectionately describe as an “adult history buff in a child’s body.”

Viveca is very engaged in the community and is a member of several service-focused organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and The Links, Incorporated. Professionally, Viveca is a member of the CALIBR Global Leadership Network, and she is also a member of Chief, a membership network focused on connecting and supporting women leaders.

Outside of work, Viveca enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, collecting art, and collecting shoes.
